| When you cut the vinyl to seperate the top panel you can gently peel of the old vinyl. As you do so you will need to remove all the palstic pieces within the top panel. The front three pieces(toward the bottom of the pic) you will have to break off the plastic tabs again. Dont worry about doing this cause you will epoxy them back into place. The small rectangular piece below the long rectangular piece is made out of metal and you will have to straighten the fold down tabs from the back of the panel after you remove the other 2 plastic pieces first. |

| Step 6 | |
| This step is optional but recommended. With all the pieces off the top panel you can take the side defroster housing and scrape off the old foam that lines its edges. When you get that off you can use weather striping to replace the old foam. This step isn't neccesary but it will allow more air to flow thru the side defroster and hit you window rather then just leaking out the old foam. |

| Step 7 | |
| Now take the top panel, with all the plastic pieces off, and drill holes of the same diameter as your bolts you will be using and drill hole where each tab was when in step 3. You should have eight hole. Don't drill any hole for any of the plastic pieces you took off in step5 As you drill the hole from the back of the panel becareful not to force the drill to hard so the drill bit doesn't go flying thru the plastic, because you may damage the foam on the other side. Just drill slowly and carefully nd you should be fine. |

| Step 8 | |
| When you have all the holes drilled flip the panel over and use a smaller drill bit to poke thru the foam from underneath to mark where each hole is from above. When you have the holes marked cut out a small rectangle or square around the hole about s cm by cm or smaller. Do this for all the holes, and then test each hole to make sure your bolt will slip thru tightly. |
