Materials Needed:
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Small flathead screwdriver
- 8mm Socket
- Black marker
- Bungee cord
- The first step is to remove the distributor protection cover. It should pop right off without much hassle. Next, find the two 8mm bolts that are holding the distributor cap down. (Two bolts marked by green dots)

- Take your 8mm socket and break both loose. With them loose, you can use you Phillips head screwdriver to remove them the rest of the way (they're very long, so you'll be turning for a while). With these removed, the cap should pop right off. Don't disconnect any of the spark plug wires yet. Just take a bungee cord and pull the cap back out of the way.

- With the cap off to the side, you should see the rotor sitting there. Take your black marker and make a mark exactly where the rotor is sitting right now. This will help later to make sure everything goes back exactly where it's supposed to go. You'll see that the rotor is held on by a single screw on the side. Take the small flathead screwdrive and remove the screw. The rotor will then lift right off the shaft.
- Take the new rotor and screw provided in the kit, place the rotor on the shaft (making sure the tip is in the exact same position as the old rotor, thanks to the mark you made earlier) and then screw it in place. Don't over tighten this, it only needs about 1 or 2 ft. lbs of torque.
- Now, take the new cap and place it next to the old cap. Going one by one, move each spark plug wire over from the old cap to the new cap. Once all the wires are moved and attached firmly, take the two long bolts and bolt the cap back down into place.
- That's it! If you have a timing gun, it would be a good idea just to double check that everything is OK. If you don't have one, don't worry about it. If you put the rotor back in the exact same position, the timing should be exactly the way it was before.
