ive decided to do a turbo KA. i got an s14 ka24 engine, harness and tranny for free, i originally gave it to redrocket but he is giving it back to me...my question is this: will the s14 harness and ecu wire up the same way the s13 ka harness will?

I would guess it would basically be the same as s13 ka. I have seen other s14 ka motorswaped s12's anyway.

Well I don't know if using s14 ka harness is easier/harder than s13 harness I just know that I have seen s12's with s14 ka's so I would assume they are using the same s14 ka harness.

it doesn't really matter they are easy to wire up etier way. however you can't use a guide to swap an s13 ka to do an s14 the harness is totally diff, with the right information it's no harder. posssibly more time consuming. i do custom harnesses for all kinds of engines s14 into s12 will not be a big deal, u will be running alot of wires back and forth as the s14 interfaces with the car soley at the dash. where the s12 and s13 have some connections in the engien bay.

The ka wiring diagrams on the forums haven't seemed to help a lot of people that much. It would probably be easier just to figure it out yourself with two factory service manuals (An OEM fsm not a Chilton's fsm) or take to it to a wiring shop and pay them to do it.

its a 1995 so its obd1 not all 95 s14's are obd1 . depends on mfg date. I am not sure when the switch was made. -------------------- check out my s12 at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/627008/1

I am not sure when the switch was made. i think im going to just covert the motor to s13 stuff...it will make it alot easier. there are 5 or 6 s13 240's in the junk yards here and one of them has a complete motor in it. i think i will take the intake mani and the distributor off of it. then just find an s13 harness. i already have 2 s13 ecu's -------------------- |
