Hey guys, I was wondering if it is possible to take a KA24DE out of an S14, and use an S13 wiring harness/ecu for the swap into the 200sx.

I ask this because I can get a KA24DE manual transmission for pretty cheap, but its out of an S14. does anyone know if this will effect the bolt up into the 200? |

One other thing, Did anyone ever have to change their fuel pump? what about the other fuel lines/coolant, etc. do those need to be modified or does the s12's bolt right up to the KA This post has been edited by Tyblat: Sep 6 2007, 04:10 AM |

I'll be curious myself on the lines/coolant question though, as that was one of my questions that i have before I get my ka here. -------------------- ~xano

I have swapped about 4 S14 engines into S13's
it's pretty easy as the engines are nearly the same (S14 valvecover is different) All you have to do is use a S13 intake and exaust manifold, as well as a S13 harness and ECU. -------------------- quality > quantity

Really, that's all, I'm working on putting a 96 KA into an 86 s12, but I've got an s13 harness and ECU. I thought there was a bit of modification required to get the s13 harness to hook up to the s14 KA, but I wouldn't have any idea yet. I'm also planning on keeping my tranny since it's mk2, but I have a backup s14 tranny just in case. -------------------- |

I have an S13 harness and ECU and a S14 block with an S13 head and an S13 tranny. Talk about a mismatch. Its really not that big of a deal when you get rid of a lot unnecessary crap like EVAP shizz. The S14 tranny has a few more sensors but its no big deal really.

My KA came from a 1996. I swapped all of the sensors and stuff over to obdI (S13). Ecu, upper harness, distributor, map, throttle body, tps, and all sensors. The intake manifolds are different too so the iac-v hook ups might be weird.

I'll be curious myself on the lines/coolant question though, as that was one of my questions that i have before I get my ka here. I reused the S12 Radiator along with the upper and lower rad hoses, no issues there. Fuel hoses are no big deal either, just match them up correctly, feed/return.
