i cant wait to get my new springs, then it wont feel like my rear bumper is dragging the ground when i get on it. i still think that my old school se-r is faster, but as i said, theres no exhaust on the s12 and it still needs a little more tuning. i would love to have a z, any z

you got one the 180zx!!

I just got lucky and had another ka fall into my lap. I'm turboing this one. And stroking it to 2.6 liters. Oh yes, there will be some torque. (and yes, they do make a stoker kit for the ka, and no, don't tell me it's a bad idea. )Oh, I forgot to add that the engine is coming with some 91 cams, the most aggressive of the ka. I'm giddy

Yeah, I'm picking up the engine on Sat. It's gonna take me a while to afford the complete build up. But opertunity knocked, and I answered. :evillaug:

ive got access to 1991 cams, do you think that they would make that much difference over my current 1996 cams?

stroking a ka is the worst idea ever. turboing it on top of that is even more of a bad idea. hahah, just kidding. so youve got 2 ka24de's sitting around???

All S13 cams are the same, and yes they'll make a noticeable difference swapping S13 cams into your S14 motor. S14 has weak sauce 232/236 duration cams, the S13's are 240/248. If you want even more N/A power, you can put S13 exhaust cams in both sides. IMO, not worth the loss of low end, but it does pick up a bit in high-rpm stuff.

I know you told me not to say it but stroking a KA = :wall: .

91 cams are different than 92-94 cams. I have seen them swapped on other s13 ka's that came with 92-up cams. The powerband is a little better but the gas mileage is worse.( I guess thats why nissan changed it.) If you ask a parts store for 91 cams, if they are gay like most chain parts stores are, they will give you 92+ cams because of the switch nissan did. So they will be labeled 91 cams but really be 92+ cams. I checked this out myself. Very frustrating. The only way to get real 91 cams is to pull them out of a 91 ka, coincedentally the first year the dual cam was offered in the ka. I hope that makes sense. Thanks for poking fun at my stroking idea, at first glance I thought you were serious. And yes, this weekend is when i pick up the motor, and then I'll have 2 ka's (one as my 'for now' engine, and one for my,' holy crap, I just pooed myself' engine) :evillaug:

You're intitled to your opinion. I've been working with 240sx's and ka's for some time, and actually came across a stoked ka24e in a truck. That thing had balls the size of jupiter. I'm not a high revver type of person, I like lots of trq, right off the bat. To each his own though. ;)
