Any one that knows any thing about turbochaging will tell you to stay well away from this sort of set up on any 4cyl engine.

I am just surprised you can still find an FJ let alone purchase one for so (relatively) cheap. How long ago was production stopped? I can remember seeing the 240RS' racing back in the mid 80's. That was hot...

Fj's stopped in around '86/87 depending on market and first date of registration etc.
and quite a few are stil around too. i have heard that nissan made 2000 s110 fj20e's, and around 2500 us12 rs/rs-x silvia/gazelles, but i dont know how many dr30's were made though...

Investigation of the documentation at my local Nissan dealer I found otal production of US12's (FJ ones)
in both hatch and coupe form was 2,832 vehicles.
From chassis no 200236 to 203068.
Mine is 200248 so I was 12th off the line!!

that is so fucken sweet. makes me want an FJ even more
