this is some hott stuff.. id love to have it sitting in my car

as i read about carbing KAs it seems you run into weird issues from where it was FI.
but id love to find a write up on it.. google isnt helping me much..
anyways,
its still a beautiful pic, and if i could find a way to make it work, my engine bay would be similar next year

I've heard some horrible shit about carbing KA's, but I've also heard of some amazing things. You'll find some answers on zilvia.net, but you'll find even more on 510 forums. A lot of guys don't carb their KA's because of emissions and etc, but 510 guys can do whatever the hell they want.

Race built singles are an awesome clubsport engine. Cheap and powerfull when they are built right. but they dont last long.

don't do it. all it does is increase like 3hp and increase throttle response. A total waste in my opinion.

personally...im a fan of new technology, carbs are outdated, FI has a lot of potential over carbing.

im not looking for amazing power or anything like that.
i just like the lack of a computer controlling my car.
but who knows what will happen, first is getting the body kind of cleaned up and some suspension..
KAs are cheap depending on where i go to get them..
i guess its a price thing vs time

You might be able to find some answers here on carbed KA's
http://www.drifting.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-2147.htmlThere is a lot of potential, but it's not only somewhat costly, it's also somewhat temperamental depending on how much power you want or how big your budget is. The lack of a computer controlling your car is very very appealing since we all know splicing the KA harness into our own can be a headache. But carbing a KA might just create more problems and cost more money, there's no easy way to go about it.

KA's might be cheap, but carbing your KA won't be.
Shops like this one can build you a NA / KA with over 200HP, people buy them for datsun 510's

Nice, but the likleyhood of a S12 owner spending $5,000+ dollars to get a little over 200HP is probably pretty slim.
I'd be all over it if I won the lottery though.

Nice,
But as agreed unless you're getting tricky with a welder and some motorbike carbies, its pointless.
