Full Version: Mk1 Wiring Info Needed

I am looking to swap the engine in my S12 soon, or else I'm going to end up selling it.. I don't have the cash to get a CA18DET, and I'm tired of my CA20E.

I'd like to keep it, and a KA24DE is something that can be had for cheap.

I just need the wiring info for MK1 => KA24DE. I've seen it done a couple times, but no wiring diagram. I pm'd heatw a couple days ago with no response.

Can anyone post up a KA24DE Swap Guide with MK1 Wiring?
asparagus
such a thing doesn't exist my friend

I'm cool with no swap guide, whatev, I can figure that out..

I am mainly looking for the wiring.. People here have running MK1 KA swaps and I want to swap my car.

Thats the only thing holding back my ka24e back. Its plumbed and ready to rock. I have not even attempted to address the wiring.

the mk1 wiring is secret.

no i just dont know how s13 KA's are wired.

Heatw did my harness, very satisfied. If you're not lazy/ are confident in yourself, buy two FSM's and ahve both of them open...

I tried getting a hold of Heatw, but I haven't heard back..

Can you take a look at your harness and post back?

What are you looking for? It's not a plug and play deal, its more like a splice and play, he just added relays and shit
ryan206
Lol, I wish it was plug and play. I'm just looking for the wiring info. What got wired to what, what relays were added>

He said it could be made plug-n-play, but I'd need to ship both harnesses. He can do it though.

I'll be taking the whole harnesses out of my car to finally get done with the wiring on my Ka'd MK1.5. I'll try to post something when I'm done!

Heatw is moving to japan, i talked to him on here through PM's last week . he told me that a plug and play harness would be 200bux but he would need the s12 harness and the s13 harness. shipping will be a little pricey from japan but who cares, it saves alot of headache having him do the wiring.

The MK2 "under AFM grey plug" infos fit with the S12. This is a good point to start! Don't search for the "white underdash plug" as it's not on the MK1. For the fuel pump you have two choices... whether you run a custom relay triggered by a wire that's switched on when key's at on or start and plug the relay to the pump wire (I'll check out what color it is). You'll find this wire on the SMJ anwyay, OR you can wait til someone here figure's out where to plug that B/P wire on the stock S12 wiring, which shouldn't take long really, I'll probably be taking care of this like tomorrow.
The second option might be interesting if your car has to pass inspection... even though you can easily hide those relays and wires.

For the starter trigger, I'll be checking it out this week too!
