hey hey well as aid in a previous post i brought a whole sr20det setup for my s12. well i have now discoverd the the gearbox has been damaged on the outside in the accident it was involed in knocking out some of the areas where it bolts to the motor also took a chuck out of the sump. any ways i need to replace the front of the box so it can bolt on all nicly again. i tryed pulling it apart the other day and got stuck! ive taken evey single bolt out of it can d cant get the front off i thnk shes been glued tight . im not too sure as im a first timer at this. also the drive shat had been shunted into the box maybe about an inch was told i should check internals but chances are it would be sweet. any oppinions would be great. cheers guys. sorry for the dumb questions, gotta learn somehow

yea it takes some effort, on my ka transmission 'i belive all the c style ones are the same, there was 8 bolts on the case holding the bellhouse on then 5 bolts holding the cover on inside the bellhouse then a snap ring under that cover. asumeing you got that all apart, man up and pull that thing hard the silicone holds it pretty tight, try carefully prying a screwdriverin there. but leave the back half together its a pain to get back together but not imposible, i just found out the hard way and posted it on here. hope that helps

if you take off the input shaft seal housing, and remove the snap rings on the bearings, the thing will slide apart by butter, its easyier to remove the bearings from the case then leave the bearings in and remove the shafts from the bearings.
