can someone post up the wiring info and what needs to be spliced/hooked up for a MK1 ca20e to KA24E swap

thanks
Arro
My search in this forum section for "KA24E" turned up half a dozen threads with a fair amount of posts in each. You should always try that first. On the advanced search window, you can highlight the forum section you want to limit your search to, and go from there.

After you've read some of the older threads, http://phatg20.net/ will have a 240SX KA24E FSM that will show you exactly what is being discussed in the threads you found here, pertaining to single cam KA's.

Go there, and hopefully you know what year your SOHC KA came out of, otherwise just pick one and open the file to see if it helps. I believe the first two years of the S13 are K24E, and afte that, they went DE.

Hope this helps.

thanks arro. i did the search and almost everyone who has done the swap is mk1.5 or mk2. so im striking out with the wiring info. i know i can go through the schematics, i was just hoping someone had a simple "wire X to wire Y" diagram. i know its only 6 wires or so but it would be nice if we could get some mk1 wiring info.
Arro
Sterling is working on it... he's just doing the DE first because he needs it for personal reasons (no, he's not going KADE in case anyone asks, not yet at least), but I don't see why he can't do that for the KA SOHC.

In the meantime, good luck, and hopefully a schematic will at least get ya goin'.

hey jaided, im doing the sohc ka swap in my mk1. i'll toss in whatever info i have, but first let me show you something. i want to know if your wires match up to mine. i hear the wire colors vary in every car. these are the plugs under the maf, check and see if your wire colors match up.

theres that, i might be wrong on some wires but i just followed the wiring diagram. i posted the diagram in the ca20 tech, print it. these are the plugs on page ef&ec-11, the ones in the middle of the page.

^dude, that is GOLD, great pics.

jaidedeye or silvia love, if you can get me the wiring diagram for the KA24E out of a FSM or online somewhere, I can shoot the how-to for you real quick. I've got most of the KA stuff real sorted, as well as the CA stuff, so a quick match-up will be simple, and then I can write a full how-to later. If you could help me out with this, that would be great.

I would like to do a write-up on the SOHC swap as its actually being competed, that way I can verify the info is good.

I totally forgot to pull the info out of the computer at school for the ka-e, so if anyone's got the wiring diagram, let me know pls.

i havent been able to find a real fsm for the ka24e. i got the bootycds.com one but it doesnt seem right. i'll try to post it anyways.
so does anyone know what that purple/white wire is in the pics above?

these are the brown and grey plugs by the battery on the sohc ka harness. im working on labeling the white plug by the ecu and a pinout on the ecu itself. these wires should be mainly the only ones you need to get the car running. the white plugs mainly consist of the dash stuff, like temp sens, tach and such. enjoy
