93 ka24de with ecu only 111,132 miles timing chain has been replaced and engine was maintained. The engine came out of a auto so it is in great shape. These engines can produce way more power than a sr20 can thats why i bought it. I never got to start building it for a turbo drift car due to i had to sell the car. don't low ball me i am looking for about 400-600 for it

up to $500 is the average cost for a fully dressed ka. meaning it has the wiring harness, ecu, maf, intake piping, tranny and so on in decent condition. if the engine this guys selling has the sensors, ecu and harness id probably lowball 300 for just the engine.

400 bux is a bit high for just the engine, and no real idea if it runs for certain or not. 600 bux better come with the transmission, the harness (UNcut), and the ECU.
Honestly, I'd pass. I don't like it when some asshole says "don't low ball me", it means he thinks he has more than he does. There's a nicer way to say it... "$400 firm" or something... this guy doesn't sound like he will be good to do business with, and so because of that I wouldn't trust the condition of the engine, either.
The guy I bought my KA trans from was nice, even threw in a few things, and since the shifter was missing, he took off some of the price when he realized I wasn't replacing a transmission and needed everything (since I didn't have a shifter already). Trans cost me $100.
The guy I bought the engine from gave me everything, and I got to see it running in the car, as well as a compression test on the cylinders. Still, most engines will be out of the car, so the attitude of the seller is IMPORTANT to give you an idea if they're reasonable or not. Unreasonable sellers can't be trusted to tell you the truth as to the condition of the engine.
So I say PASS on this one.

Yeah 400-600 is a pretty high price for just the engine and ecu. Most ka24de motorsets I see go for 500-600 for engine, tranny, ecu and everything else you need for the install. He says it only comes with motor and ecu (no wiring harness, intake stuff, tranny, etc.) which is definetly not worth it for 400 bucks. I agree with Arro on this and say pass.
