I was retensioning my timing chain today and i noticed that there is a small crack in the plastic housing of my CAS. Now i know the CAS is functioning correctly but i imagine if water gets in there then its screwed so would i be ok to just seal up the crack for now until i can afford a new CAS?

You can just buy a new cover too, they sell them somewhere... I seen em!

I concur. Cheap too. But with these engines, always nice to have spare parts laying around like coil packs, ecu, ignitor chip, and cas. Maybe stock fuel injectors too.
