Im just kinda wondering what goes where. i have hooked a lot of the stuff up myself but am now at a dead end. i have included pics to kinda give you an idea of what i mean.

lets go pic by pic.
in pic two, what are those two canisers? do i need them?
and what are the vaccuum lines in the background?
pic 3 : what does that thing screw into?
the pic with the ecu, i know what that is. and i know where the cone shaped thing goes(what is it?)
and in the last pic. the two shiny bits. i know what connects to them but which one goes to which , as in does the one on the top(hose) got to the back or the front?
any help is much appreciated!!!

pic 3 is a possible power steering hose,
should be the hose that goes from the rack, to the pump,
but make sure it goes to the right side of the pump if thats makes a difference?
good luck

Kinda hard to tell what you are talking about, I'd use Paint to circle some stuff and reload it, that might make it easier.
on the AC compressor (lower pic) make sure everything is SUPER clean (no dirt in the lines or compressor) and replace the o-rings before having it recharged (they will need to put it into deep vacuum for awhile, this is something a shop will have to do for you).
You really could use a FSM for that thing, hunt around the net for one, that really should tell you well what does what exactly.

the thing above your ECU is that your starter? i dunno, im not KA friendly i dont have one
why keep the A/C i mean yea it cools you off but eh its alot of work to maintain
dont forget to add tranny fluid etc.

the thing above my ecu, it bolts in at the back of the engine and has a gear on it that interacts with the flywheel(?) it looks like.
yeah i probably will get rid of the ac
the two canister things on the left hand side of the engine, are those needed??
yeah ive been looking for a manual, ill probably end up having to download one and go from there. just want to get it done before the first snow. and its comming fast.

hope i could help

yea make sure you get your starter to the flywheel right,
AND
make sure your grounds are solid.
grounds grounds grounds, might as well get that over with,
id prob get another starter, but eh, deal with that one if it seems fine, starters are just a bitch to mess with because of there location
basically,
you have to think from, when you turn the key,
what triggers what, to let what happen.
id write it down, and make sure you have EVERYTHING hooked up, fluids filled etc. before you start cranking the car over.
so far great job! now just the stupid part is wiring and connecting.
guh i am gonna dread that day

thanks for the link to that manual that will help.
yeah i think puting that starter on will be a bit of a pain because of location. im keeping an eye out for a decent condition one locally. will one from an auto work??

to see if a auto starter will work call your local part house (napa, autozone, ect) they can cross refence the part and tell want will work, even from different models, like hard body truck which came wit ka24e or stuff like that. good luck

First off let me say this: without a shroud, you will not get the full effect of the fan pulling air through the radiator. Its better than no fan at all, but I would recommend you get some electric fans and wire them in with a thermo switch. People around here say Stanza fans work good. Myself, I have a set of Ford Taurus twin fans. Mine were out of a SHO model and that fit damn near perfectly on the stock radiator. You just need to notch one corner to clear the upper radiator hose. It fits perfectly above and below the lips on the top and bottom of the radiator where the shroud attached.
There should be a hose that runs from your PS pump/steering rack to the filler tank. Its right in front of the Brake Master Cylinder on the Drivers side.
Pic#2
I believe that canister with the hose coming out the top(not sure of the name) is CA20 specific. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Pic#3
Looks like a line for your power steering pump
Pic#4
No idea what thats for, it should be in a FSM
Pic#5
Those wires laying on the strut tower look suspiciously like plugs for your fuel injectors. Well, there's five plugs. Four of them look like plugs for your injectors, each are a different color. If they are, they should be at different lengths and line up with each injector down the line. If you hook them up wrong your motor won't run very well, if at all. I don't know what the bigger one that is different and has a purple wire in it is for.
Pic#6
That is your positive(red) battery terminal. Those plugs on it are relays for your starter and fusible links. I would also advise you to either clean or at least use a sealer on the batter tray(place where the battery sits) before you put the battery in. Rust is a cancer, once its there and untreated, it will spread. A new set of battery terminals wouldn't hurt either.
Pic#7
The item shown above your starter is you MAF(Mass Airflow Sensor). It also goes by other names, but it measure the air flowing into your engine so the ECU know how much fuel to inject. You should have a plug in your harness that plugs into it. It should be routed into your Tubing that runs from your intake to your air box. The plug should be on the drives side, unless you ran the harness differently.
That copper line looks like part of your emissions stuff.
Pic#8
That is your a/c compressor. If you aren't going to use it, you might as well take it off. That can wait until sometime down the road, but you shouldn't worry about it right now as its not needed to run the car.
That should get you started. And as the guys said, in the future it would help a lot if you circled the things in question before you post your pics. It would make things a lot easier to explain.

thanks guys im closer to finishing now.
the fule lines thing didnt dawn on my till i looked. they are hooked up now.
pic two i think is something from the fuel line. i looked at one of SilviaLoves pic and found where it hooks up to.
its confusing in his pic though cause in one he has the top two pully removed and then in another pic he has them back on?
the other thing is(its on the right side): it looks like it connects to the distributer in the center. it has one wire(?) comming out of it, it sits on the fender basically. but i have two one by the master cylinder and one laying in the same spot the battery tray is on the opposite side??
oh i have the shroud, i took it out for manuverability. and i have new fans on the way.

This has been moved to being invisible at thread opener's request. He asked me to delete the thread since he's starting up a new one with a better grounding but until then, I think we should keep it just in case he doesnt make one and the information that is available in this thread. We can merge it later.
