How do you take the motor mounts off of the CA18ET and use the KA24E SOHC mounts??

Do I need to take the crossmember out to take the mounts off??

I was under the impression the stock KA motor mounts would work but I'm guessing I'll need the rubber part of the mount as well??

Thanks.

LOL whats funny is i just did this today

og UNDER you're motor mounts and you'll feel a bolt it's a 17MM you're going to need a swivel head ratchet though.

and BAM there you go :]

No, saddly I'm not kidding. i wish it was easier, the swivel head made a HUGE difference though, got both sides out in less then 5 mins

You remove the rubber mounts for the CA18ET and install the KA motor mounts onto the crossmember.

on my car, i think i usually undo the bottom of the mount from under the car/ wheel well, with a really long extension. although its been a while... and im not sure what size the nuts are since i use hockey pucks and grade 8 hardware from the store smile.gif

but i know you can usually also get a wrench around the bottom part of the mount from inside the bay, and sometimes either a wrench of a socket on the top part

J-Man has a couple of those that I use all the time, and those flex ratcheting wrenches are the most useful tool..
