I've got money saved and I'm ready to buy an SR20. Where would u suggest I start looking for one. Somewhere reputable and decently priced. I've checked eBay, but prices have seemed to gone up. I'm guessing since the swap is much more popular now, than a few years ago. I'm looking for engine, tranny, ecu, wiring.

What type you looking for? S13? S14 red top or the VTC black top? Or the S15 black top? Those will all differ in pricing.

i bought mine from here jdmenginecorp. came with a bad ignitor, i called them about it today and they *said* there overnighting me one so we'll see if one shows up tommorow.. but when i tore down the enigne everything looked excellent. even the stock clutch was good.

One question, why even use the stock clutch that came with the engine set? That would be one of the first things I would replace with an upgraded unit for my power goals without being ridiculous.

I would be more worried about broken or missing mechanical parts.

I'm not one to say to use the search function either, but this has been asked several times. I myself have posted several links a few months back from reputable sellers too.

yeah my motor came from japangeneralmotor and my motor came with not only a compleatly shot clutch, it also came with a blown turbo. so dont get your motor from japangeneralmotor.com, or you will regret it.

Did your ignitor come in? Just curious of the quickness of the company.

I spoke to a guy who runs a dealership here locally. For many years he helped run his dad's business at a local pick and pull/junkyard and says he can order Japanese engines from salvage yards across the seas. He just needs the year, make, and type of engine and he says he can get me a great deal on the complete engine, tranny, and ECU. Should I try it out? I think the only thing here is the warranty. I don't think they would come with one. He says they just pull it out and ship it.

Has anyone ever dealt with nagasakijdmmotors.com or sunrisejdmmotors before?

This is just for others when they search it
The import shop local to me (Calgary, Alberta) is very well respected for their engines and imported cars. Just putting it up there for anyone in Washington or Montana since it's not too bad of a drive.
