I apologize already, as this has been covered 49 duodecillion times. But most of my searches have been kind of fruitless.
The wiring guide makes some kind of sense to me. I just can't clarify If I yank the old ECU and harness or not. If I just splice in, OR if I cut and connect wires necessary. It's a big thing to get wrong the first time. This is all going into an 84 SRA 5 speed
I know the engine runs like a top, so thats a check
I have all the parts necessary (full car) so, check
I've read it on a lot of searches, front driveshaft. check
Found the transmission mount that requires no welding. Check.
Basically I have no other car to drive when this swap is being done. The only driveable car will be the honda, that's why it's a beater. But most of the time it will be gone. So I need to get this all done over the course of a weekend. And Quite frankly I'm shooting for the fastest time on here. Which Will be recorded and hopefully be put into a short or time lapse video. (Hey, Could be fun)
So basically all that held me up from doing it over this weekend is it is my planning stage. Narrow down all the fine details.
So any info on the wiring (besides the sticky, I have that printed and somewhat memorized.)
OH! And I almost forgot.. Does the CA's temp sensor need to be swapped for a correct reading? or nay.
DUMP INFO ON ME!

i understand what you mean about the wiring. so to help, they spelled it out for me in my thead, tittled "going crazy"

you mean "Losing my mind"?

I think I've got everything pretty golden here. I'm just quadruple checking. Not getting this done in 3 days (That's a very, very long time) is NOT an option.

factor in all the fluids, and any broken bolts, all my swap shopping lists allways forgot these, and they both can add up and screw up budgeting real quick. good luck on the swap though, don't rush to much you may overlook something

Have all fluids already. Little to no risk on broken bolts (Engine's already been swapped, and NONE of the bolts were even remotely seized).
It just nailing down the wiring, and labeling things before the first bolt is removed. is where I am at. Basically the last stages before wrenching.
Thanks for the info though!

is this gonna be a sohc or a dohc swap? either way the 20e engine harness comes out. the 3 plugs (where the 20e used to plug to the chassis)under the maf will be the ones getting spliced into. you will have issues trying to get the ka ecu in the ca20 ecu spot. the ka engine harness isnt long enough to follow the 20e one. it will most likely have to be mounted near the pass. side. if you want it where the 20e ecu was you will need to modifiy the ka harness. sterlings write up will get the car started for you but theres still certain issues that need to be resolved. lots of things varied from model to model. there quite a few people here now with running ka swaps, so any questions just ask. im not the best at answering the questions, but my ka runs and i did it on my own. i wired it up twice, both time differently and it ran both times. so theres different ways to do things. sterling seen my first attemp which was way to much work but it was functional. you will need to mod your trans mount. dont lose that. sterling again has a genius idea for that, check arros build thread for pics on that. the driveshaft issue for you will be a little different since you have sra. irs people just use a s13 front half mated to the s12 rear. you may need a custom 1 piece.

Dohc swap.
S12 S13 hybrid driveshaft is said to work, found that on the forums and David B Concurred (He has had it done on his). Plus I happened to have a C trans IRS with driveshaft laying around. So I have something that will work. And I was planning on cutting a hole and putting the ecu in the passenger side kick panel. Where It comes from. Trying to make things nice and clean. BUT! you did help me in the biggest question I had. Of Do I remove the CA harness. The answer is yes I do, and that makes me happy!
I wouldn't enjoy half a harness laying around.
Thank you!

the passenger side kick panel has stuff on it, its alot easier to use ure glove box, it only takes up about half of it
youll need to cut the back side of the G box the have the ecu wires come out
make sure to pull the ENGINE HARNESS, and not the CHASSIS HARNESS

That sounds like a better idea. Didn't know something was down in there. Cruise I'm guessing?
Yeah, Engine harness will be easy. Disconnect ecu, pull through. Take that harness still attached to engine. No worries about that.
Info like that helps out like no other! thanks!

Well kids, The start of this hullabaloo is t-minus 19 hours. Any last things before I get balls deep into this? Like a common mistake?
Everything is checked. As best as I can check it. We'll see how things play"
Storms, all weekend. So Why not do it?
