Well, I got it running. But I have no alternator. So I'm curious as to if anyone can put any pictures up. Because I cannot figure out what I'm missing.

also any info on the tach. I spliced into the yellow red that the diagram said, but Is there any way to t it off at the coil, or anything else of the sort.

Any help to get this thing going, It's the last stages

Nope, Video is on my build page

Also, I could not find that plug. I figured as much. But the owner before the last did some very interesting things with wiring. Which messed me up a little bit. But i never did think to check the ground. First thing tomorrow!

OH! and btw. 10w-40 makes that noise go away

Correction.

The alternator charges. I just hafta rev it to what I'm guessing is 2000 ish RPM. Then it decides to charge.

That's a kind of a late start IMO, I might not even hit that on a daily drive. I know some alternators out there need to be excited before they can charge. But I didn't know that these followed that procedure, if they do.

Any Ideas? or think it's normal

what? you cant even pass 30 mph without going past 2k rpm

Could just be a bad alt

wtf the connector is not for 12+ and ground

1 wire is for the cluster for the brake/volt dummy light to come on when the alt shits out

the other wire is a constant 12v+ for the alt to know what the source power is, it doesnt charge the battery through this wire though.

then of course theres the big 12v+ lead and the ground lead
