u need half s13 short shaft and half s12 long shaft. bolts up

refer to sterlings thread about relays to get the fuel pump to work, or hard wire it to a switch

you can swap the cable transmitter from the s12 trans to the eltronic 240 trans, for speedo, and if you follow sterlings stuff everything SHOULD work... haha i should. because i ahve no tach

I never hooked it up to the ecu innocent.gif

I just grounded the white wire up directly below the green/black (power from efi relay) wire. And didn't bother with a relay. Fuel pump just runs at all times that the run is on.
ALSO, My starter did not want to crank at first, until I found that it's not addressed in the wiring guide. It's a yellow blacl wire on the passenger side harness, and a yellow black wire on the KA harness. connect those and BOOM! crank action!

This thread answered all the rest for me

After checking the wiring, no joke, 12 times. I cranked her and she started in 3 cranks. Nearly instantaneosly. All in all, This swap was MUCH easier than I was making it in my mind.

As for the dash, The coolant temp sensor is the same between all of the engines. So that as fine, And the CA20 Oil pressure sending unit goes into the KA block just fine. just wire that up. Voltometer works fine as is, as does the fuel guage. The Tach is an issue with our cars and the KAde's, because they have a 5 volt system, instead of 12 (on some), so mine doesnt work until I figure that one out later. and the Speedo? Just use the gear from your B trans in it. They have the same gear between the two and will have no issues.

where is the yellow black wire on the harnes? is it on the starter itself and the s12 sid the one that is before the transmission harness ?

Is your car automatic or manual trans to begin with? David's answer is assuming you're starting out with a manual trans car.

Also, if you have a '95+ KA24DE, you won't have a normal coil.. the coil will be integrated into the distributor, and you will have to tap off of one of the three wires on the distributor connector (not sure which one).

i figured it out finally

with the KA swap, can you use the CA box? all the KA24's here were front wheel drive to my knowledge. Considering a swap, but need info on gearbox. cheers
EternalSwap
you need a ka24 bellhousing to use the s12 b or c trans

+1 i assume all cars are manual. i hate automatic failness!

good to see my thread still here haha but yeah heres another question

ok since im using a ka from a 98. with internal coil, how do i get power to the ecu to turn on the ec u and everything else. thanks guys for the info on working the starter and for the links.

i got the motor to crank just no start though haha i just need to check compression and and spark and fuel i got that to work as well

but then again i have some sound coming from the intake manifold i think its the injectors idk but yeah cause when i pinched the presser hose and the noise stopped lol idk

and also witch do you guys think is better the s14 harness, ecu, and the internal coil as a EZ START or the s13 harness, ecu and external coil,

you can do it with the s14 stuff.

the s14 ecu is more contained, IE there are less wires going to it... but you do have the OBDII if your car is US spec.

the earlier 95 ka swap ive done had one red wire-constant 12v supply, one start signal wire, fuel pump relay control, and maybe one other thing and that was it to get it running...

if you have the harness, details on what car the engine/harness came out of, i should be able to help you. i don't know right now how integrated the engine control and chassis harness is on OBDII, since there are more sensors etc but lmk what youve got and we can go from there.
nissan_s12
thanks man on the info.

heres my info for you to help me out.

umm its a obd2 harness from a 98 240sx us spec

hope you can help. trying to find out witch wire to use for power but cant find witch one haha
