help!

so are you trying to add your own relay?

like this? (straight from sterlings swap guide...)

he explained it quite well in the post... your control side's power is the 12v constant by your fuel pump, and the ground is the black/pink wire.

the switched side is the white wire of the fuel pump connector, then ground terminal 5...

those are far better pictures than of what i can take pictures of.. makes a hell of alot more sense too.

his swap guide is the tits. seriously.

can i run it this way with a walbro 255?

you can, either hard wire it, or ground the (ithink) white wire. its in his swap guide.

so on the one side that says power all the time do i make a Y and run it to both sides the switched and the constant? also what wire do i have to splice into the pink and black wire?

in all honesty a pic of a installed setup would help the most

this is what i am getting at where does the black and pink wire from the s13 harness go?
also is there not a fuse or anything between the battery and the pump?
also is that just a splice in where the red turns into two reds?

there is a splice for the two power wires feeding the relay, yes. solder it for your own sake and tape it well.

the circuit should have a fuse. if you are using stock wiring, there is a fuse, if you are adding one for the 255, then put in a fuse.

the black/pink S13 wire will connect to your #2 spot in your diagram there, if Im reading it right. This is shown in my long diagram with the relay (fsm pic) as well. see the larger version in the first page of the sticky.

also, your solid black wire with the + sign on it should not be + but ground, because if you have positive at both ends of the pump motor you won't spin the pump smile.gif that side needs to be grounded.

or, u can hardwire... and even if your relays fail your fuel pump will haha

Welcome to the terribly unclear world of the Club-S12 KA swap guide.

I simply hardwired mine to a switch. It's pretty unsafe but...I guess it is what it is.

this is how mine is setup and its working

i took a green relay.....

on the top there should be a diaghram with numbers and such.....

1,2,3, and 5

4 wires total

to 3 i have the ecu blk/pnk wire, located on the ka engine harness

to 1 i have straight power from batt(wire directly from batt)fused with a 15amp fuse

to 5 i have the shielded factory fuel pump ground wire with the outer wire grounded on the chassis.

to 2 i have it going to the black/red fuel pump wire on chassis harness

that works for me...i think i might have it a little wrong but it does work. if i had my fused power(1) coming from a switched(ign) source it would work better. i think this is killing my batt the way its setup. but if you want to get it running that will work for now. the pump should prime itself like oem...not hardwire.
