I have an MS1 with 3.0 main board. I bought all sensors and wiring harness from Diyautotune.com they are the shit I highly recomend their wiring harness. It is very clearly labeled and made from high quality wire. I had 2 aux relays added so the MS can control my cooling fan and a shift light or something. I also had a 12 volt pull up added so the MS can pick up the distributor signal. Yup I'm still going to use the distributor. Some guys run coil packs with a crank trigger. My engine set up consists of a stock n/a vg with copper head gaskets. It will be force fed with a dual ball bearing garrett T-66 at 18-20 psi. The fire will be fueled with 550cc rx7 fuel injectors. This thread may progress slow but I will try to lay it out real nice so it would be easy to follow my foot steps. Thats all I have for now I'll be posting pictures in my photo bucket link because for some dam reason my computer locks up when I try to post them on here. You probably wont see any pics till end of next week. Now I'm off to the junkyard for a 240tps... the final needed piece.

I cant beleive no one pointed out that I have to many l's in instal. Anyways I started diggin in. I mounted the megasquirt on the bottom of the driverside dash and dissconnected the stock ecu harness from the engine. I also diveded the ms harness into 2 pigtails. 1 goes under the hood for 12v power and sensors and the other pigtail stays in the car to control the fuel pump relay, oxygen sensor, knock sensor indicator LED and I ran an extra 14gauge wire that will power up my gauges or whatever for the future.

this is my coolant temp sensor

this is how I'm wiring it minus the stepper IAC

This is the needed tps sensor you use the red black and white
IPB Image
This is the side of the harness that stays in the car for fuel pump, ignition switch, tach output, ox sensor and gauge power
IPB Image
The red wires in a bundle are all getting fused, the black wires are all ecu and sensor grounds and the colored ones that are coiled still need to be hooked up

How do you guys like my fuse holders? Heat shrink tubing and insulated female terminals

off topic: what does your intake piping and filter look like? i bought a similar blaster coil and i have no idea where to mount it because of the stock intake shit. i think i'm just going to ziptie it somewhere until i get a better filter.

My intake and air filter is on the other side of the engine bay because of the turbo.. My turbo guy John from ESP told me Friday it should be here Monday so hopefully I'll have some pics mid week.
I think that I would wait until I got a new filter before installing the coil. Yes after market coils look cool but thats really all its going to do so give it a clean install so you want to look at it. The cone filter on the other hand will make you smile when you hear your vg growling and it will too. I'm pretty sure Bartco makes MAF adapters check him out before Ebay.

i was just going to replace the whole throttlebody when i did it. also, i'm doing the coil to help get rid of a rough idle. next are plugs and wires, it's just that i'm picking something easy to do as i'm learning to work on cars for the first time. check my garage thead smile.gif

thanks for the tips! i almost have to trust the words of any person who can cram a turbo into an SE engine bay.

edit: successfully cram a turbo. tongue.gif

black and white wires are for a knock sensor that I dont have yet

Things are really starting to clean up I have 2 wires to hook up in the car yet..... tach and an output to light an LED when the knoock sensor is triggered so I know to back off and check the log to see what happened. I also need to make my fuel injector harness.

Thanks. I'm currently waiting for a lap top to get here and my fuel rails to be finished. Plus I need to get the rest of my turbo set up Jet Hot coated. Once I get both its time to see if I did a good job wiring... well when the lap top shows up I can at least see if I have rpm signal. If I have that it will run.

Laptop arrived today from Ju S12 Turbo. It was just as he said and worth what he wanted. I thank him and if he ever sells you anything you can trust him. I'm using it right now. Anyways I'll post that in the feedback section too. Anyways what I really wanted to give an update on the MS. I installed Mega Tune on the laptop I got from Ju S12 Turbo and hooked up to the 9 pin port that everyone told me I wasn't going to get. No need for the usb adaptor! Anyways again.. I dissconnected the coil and cranked over the engine. I had rpm signal and I was getting feedback from all the sensors and the fuel pump cycled! I hit the gas pedal and I had tps signal... it read 8% to84% with an even sweep...Success! for the wiring anyways... I still have to calibrate and tune it and I still need the fuel rails to even think about starting it.

nice! cant wait to hear it start, and to see a full write-up!
