so i hate jacking peoples threads. so i made my own.
barron your welcome to post your progress in here if you want.
i got it textures: its almost ready for in-game beta testing, just need to decide on wheels... any reccomendations?

so far got the SE front lip on. need to make the side and rear skirts.
also have to weld the 2 halves together. then make the SE spoiler, exhaust, tow hooks, little details.

lol will do. its always fun driving your personal car in a video game. especially one as in depth as GTA4.
got some progress, went with the Hayashi 505 wheels. deep and wide. might throw on some 240z flares. granted the release for GTA will be basically stock with random options, so u can get closer to your own personal car.

time for bed. more tomorrow.

Try to flair the SE lip up farther on the front, right now its got the TRUE to life saggy stock lip lol.
The SE Lip is definitely at a 45 degree angle or even possibly less. (i'd say between 45 degrees and 30 degrees, in relation to the ground between the underside and the ground.)

Lookin damn good. Makes me wish I had gta4. Still, would also make a pretty sweet background image for whatever.
Makes me wanna pick a program and toy with it myself.
Keep up the good work!

Dec 22 2009, 07:05 AM
would they look exactly the same, i mean offset, flushness, color etc. if so id shay rock that shit
really tho, they would look good, if you're going for a more modern-sport look
Xano
Dec 22 2009, 10:12 AM
no shit, slick.
Those wheels are tight man, i'd go for em if the offset is the same.
Now, if they are chrome, instead of that alloy color, paint them using that chrome paint that always turns out more alloy silver after a few days

Dec 22 2009, 07:05 PM
yeah the offset is about what you see in the model. i tried to get it exact. size might be a LITLE big.. they are 16's.
and yeah there white. i just dont know if modern is what i want or not..i kinda like the trashed oldschool look. like that rat rod 240z thats floating around the internet. my cars sanded down so that bare metal is showing in a few places and its got a few dents and scrapes. i really kinda like that look tho, so i think some loooow offset deep 15's are the way i wanna go. i think the volks go against that alot.
might just pick em up to run for a few drift events or something..idk.

the front end with fixed headlamps looks a LOT like the blista compact from GTA IV (which as i'm sure you know is based off a crx, but that's besides the point)

i like it

I would really like to get a hold of the model when you're finished with it. I've been meaning to model mine for years & never got around to it.

The difference between the two isn't the throttle body, it's the number of cams.
Looks like a KA24E intake on a KA24DE engine. Still cool as hell, though...
