Well i was driving down this pretty long road goin about 30 and i saw that i was getting about 38 mpg's! At first i thought that it couldnt be right so i speed up and it dropped to around 18 mpg's. So is that a right average?

if you were going down a slope...
i average around 24mpg ...about 18 in traffic up to 27.5 just on cruise at 60 on the highway
though i assume your 30MPG was off the drive computer...wich i dont have al mines math based lol.. and instant MPG meters are usually off,.at least in cars ive been in

the drive computer is fresh 80s technology, so its not terribly accurate

old ca20 would average 25ish pretty much all the time, and strictly highway could put down 30+mpg, pretty good considering the rpms it would be spinning then.

your 84 is solid axle (different ratio) and auto so it will get better mileage as well. 84 solid axle cars are lighter too.
